What do I get in each
SP sample kit?
Our kits are not only loaded with Examples of the researched Songs or "Tunes" used when you're sampling, these kits also have the information and contacts needed to pursue the clearance and use of published or copyrighted sounds.
Plus, kits include:
• forms and procedures on how to become members of publishing guilds such as, ASCAP and BMI,
• United States Copyright forms,
• statistics, articles, guides and price lists,
• Exclusive partner membership discounts and benefits,
• Contacts for Industry Managers, A&R's and Entertainment Attorneys,
With information updated to kits regularly, each SP kit provides you with insider info to get you to the next level in your musical career.
What am I paying for exactly and why are your Vinyl Sample kits $19.99
for just 10 tunes?
In addition to benefits previously stated, the time, effort and costs put into each kit is of specific value. Most components included in putting such a package together are hard to come by and the resources and effort in doing so come far and between.
Also, you can look at it like this:
1.) Spending hours and hours finding hard-to-find LP's and 45's is essentially a day job. Say, if we were to go to a record store from 9am - 5pm, only making minimum wage searching for these rare grooves, $19.99 would be considerably lower than a day's worth of work.
2.) Say in that same record store, you found the 10 tunes you really wanted. The problem is, each tune is likely on 10 different pieces of vinyl, tape or CD. At a bare minimum, each piece is from 99¢ to $8.99. to average it out, we'll say, $4.99 a piece. Now even if you get an employee discount, PLUS the store manager is your boy, and even if you stole a few in the process, you still would not get the value SamplersParadise.com would give you for $19.99
I never received the email/links to kits I've order...
**IF YOU ORDERED VIA INSTANT DOWNLOAD AND DID NOT RECEIVE YOUR LINK(S) IN YOUR EMAIL'S INBOX, REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL'S SPAM AND/OR JUNKMAIL FOLDERS. IF YOU STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR ORDER BY THEN, CONTACT US FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS.**
Is this service
LEGAL?
Yes. As our Legal Notice (in green) below states, We DO NOT sell the Tunes and Cut Example provided in the kits. They are just as reference to the INFORMATION you are purchasing. What you do with them is your responsibility.
Again, our services provide you with the applicable materials and contacts, should you seek professional use or mass reproduction.
How do I protect myself in using these samples?
As long as you take the proper measurements in receiving permission (Sample clearance, Publishing, etc.) to use ANY samples, you will be protected--Plus, possibly PAID! We provide you with all this info in every kit.
What format do the kits and sounds come in?
All SP sounds are recorded at 44.1kHz WAV files, captured in a Zip-file compressed format.
You will need to use these free versions of WINZIP (for Windows users) or STUFFIT (for MAC users) to access these sounds.
Can I get my orders sent to me by mail?
Yes. After making your selections, go to the SHOPPING CART page where you will see a drop-down field on the right hand side of each item. Simply select the Mail on CD option from the drop-down and the order is on the way to your home!
CD orders are an extra $8.95 for shipping and only ships to the address on the PayPal, or credit/debit card entered. Allow 5-10 days for domestic delivery. International delivery times vary.
Why are the
Tunes in the kits only about 30 seconds each?
Well, realistically speaking, just about anything longer than that would not really be and 'example'. We are not in the business of stepping on anyone's toes via copyright infringement. By doing so we'd be doing just that, plus would probably constitute legal action. We have however set the Cut Examples up well enough, that you should be able to get an idea of what the Tune should sound like through reproduction.
What is the difference between a
Tune and a
Cut Example?
A Tune is simply an example or sample of the song researched.
A Cut Example is a portion and possibly loop of that actual tune.
There's a long
BEEP I hear in every demo. Is that gonna be there, when I use my samples?
The Beep tone or cycle is just there to protect the demos from being ripped off on the Site. Once you actually purchase and download SP kits, that Beep tone is no longer there. You're safe to then produce!
Why are the kits/files so BIG and take so long to download??
In order for you to get the best possible rendition of the researched sounds, we needed to add raw DATA WAV files to the kits--which happen to be very large files(about 15MB each). Also, we want you to get the full effect of each Tune, so we add tons of Cut Examples to each kit. Not to mention the dozens of contact and publishing/clearance extras we through in. It's a lot to fit in, but well worth it. Sorry.
I ordered 2 days ago and haven't been able to download my kits until now. Why are the download links not working?
For sake of protection of our products and services, we have put 24 hour download restrictions on the links we send out. Meaning, after 24 hours from the moment you make the purchase, your downloading window WILL CLOSE. Also, there is a 2 download limit per link. Please be mindful of this with ordering.
I recently bought about $100 worth of stuff by Instant Download but i received the same order by mail. Why and will I be charged for it?
As our Contact page says,
"BECAUSE OF RECENT FRAUD ISSUES, ANY ORDERS OVER $100.00 USD ARE AUTOMATICALLY SENT TO THE CUSTOMER'S HOME ADDRESS PLACED ON THE ORDER FOR VERIFICATION."
'Nuff said.
